Today was a pretty fun day. After a full day of building a recumbent exercise bike (Okay…I just read directions), museum wandering, and hunting down a vacuum cleaner, we are hanging out in front of our faux fire, watching television.
Three things I’m grateful for:
- Museums: A wonderful place to see creative works. We went to the Museum of Contemporary Art today. Because the third floor was closed because of an exhibit
installation the admission price was only $4. it was cool. Jerry and I had fun walking
around looking at all the artwork. We found out that some of the works in the UNF (University of North Florida) exhibits were a direct result from one of the artists working in a studio right there on site. The top floor is an explorer area where Jerry and I played.
It was fun to be the only ones on the floor. We even left some of our own art.
- Restaurants that have gluten free menus. Corner Taco had a gluten free buttermilk fried chicken taco that was so delicious. From the looks of their menu, a lot of it is gluten free. I can’t wait to try more.
- Contractors that work on Saturdays. Yes, it was a bit of a surprise when he showed up at 8:42am but a welcomed site as I’m hoping this bathroom renovation will be finished soon.
