#IAmGrateful 1/17/16

IMG_20150117_123425Today was a pretty fun day. After a full day of building a recumbent exercise bike (Okay…I just read directions), museum wandering, and hunting down a vacuum cleaner, we are hanging out in front of our faux fire, watching television.

Three things I’m grateful for:

  1. Museums: A wonderful place to see creative works.  We went to the Museum of IMG_20150117_121751Contemporary Art today.  Because the third floor was closed because of an exhibit
installation the admission price was only $4.  it was cool.  Jerry and I had fun walking
around looking at all the artwork.  We found out that some of the works in the UNF (University of North Florida) exhibits were a direct result from one of the artists working in a studio right there on site.  The top floor is an explorer area where Jerry and I played.
It was fun to be the only ones on the floor. We even left some of our own art.
  2. Restaurants that have gluten free menus.  Corner Taco had a gluten free buttermilk fried chicken taco that was so delicious.  From the looks of their menu, a lot of it is gluten free.  I can’t wait to try more.
  3. Contractors that work on Saturdays.  Yes, it was a bit of a surprise when he showed up at 8:42am but a welcomed site as I’m hoping this bathroom renovation will be finished soon.
